Why does this site exist?

This site was born out of a discussion with various residents of the Brambleton community who felt unhappy with the way the HOA has been making decisions. Their displeasure ranged from a simple “HOA fees don’t give us much” to “Why did the HOA never alert us to XYZ being built in our community” to “HOA is making unilateral decision by themselves without a public discussion”.

Basically we feel that the HOA is not keeping their residents’ best interests in mind and that we would like a lot more transparency in how it conducts its business. Just putting something on their website and not communicating it to their residents is not transparency. If they can send a hundred emails to us when it is time to vote for the board, they can do so with items that a lot more crucial to the happiness of their residents.

Please do not mistake our displeasure with the HOA to be any reflection on how we feel about living in Brambleton, we love being part of this neighborhood. It is because we love where are, and care, that we want our HOA to do more and be more.
